About Ashley
A UNIQUE UNDERSTANDING OF HOW WE RELATE, SHAPED BY A LIFETIME OF DIFFERENT WORLDS
Ashley Usiskin is a resilience speaker, coach, mentor and podcast host with more than 30 years' experience across global businesses, creative agencies, startups and entrepreneurship.
With a background in psychology and a lifelong curiosity about what makes people tick, his career has taken him across industries, organisations and cultures, from London to Sydney, Madrid and Amsterdam.
Today, those experiences come together in his work exploring how we respond to pressure, work with others and perform at our best.

PRESSURE, SEEN FROM DIFFERENT SIDES
Over 30 years, Ashley has experienced pressure and performance from very different sides: leading international marketing inside a global corporation; running major client accounts at one of the world's most respected creative agencies; co-founding a technology startup; leading a national campaign during an Australian federal election; and advising founders navigating the uncertainty of building businesses of their own.

He's been inside the corporation, the agency, the startup, the founder's office and the advisory room.
His experience spans Liberty Global and Virgin Media, BBH and Skip-to-Bot. Today, he continues to work alongside entrepreneurs as a Techstars mentor and Branding & Go-to-Market Entrepreneur in Residence at Embryonic.
THE WORK TODAY
Behind all the different roles, companies and worlds was the same curiosity: what helps people thrive, especially when things get difficult.
Today, Ashley is Founder of The Gift of Help, through which he teaches and coaches people to become better at asking for help and tapping into the wisdom, experience and support around them.
He is also a Human Skills Instructor with Simon Sinek's The Optimism Company and has taught his approach to more than 400 leaders and teams.
At the heart of his work is a simple idea: being strong doesn't mean having all the answers or carrying the pressure alone.

Beyond the work
Ashley has called London, Sydney, Madrid and Amsterdam home and travelled to more than 80 countries.
He's been a cycling team captain and guide, men's group facilitator, youth development leader, football goalkeeper and photographer.
Different countries, careers, communities and challenges have all fed the same curiosity that began with studying psychology: what makes people tick, what helps us through difficult moments, and what becomes possible when we stop trying to figure everything out alone?
